Smashing Egglings

No, this is not the name of a new band.
Rather, it is Kellen's new favorite pasttime.
He picked up our tender little egglings and smashed them one by one.
It was sad.

Then I got busy looking on the web. Was it possible to make our own egglings, I wondered?
The answer was, yes.
And while I seemed to be solitary in my pursuit (Aidan wasn't all that into it), I made eight egglings.
I like that I can also use the eggshell to nurture the plant; how cool!
And Aidan won't be too sad about the smashed egglings, which were spectacular by the way. They landed on the floor with large crashes and much Flying Dirt.

I'll post a picture as soon as Blogger lets me (I got an error when I tried just now). As the picture shows, I learned how to blow out eggshells--pretty wild!

And our BIG NEWS is that Kellen is trying to talk, really trying. He is not always successful, but we hoop it up whenever he tries. Stroller comes out as goga. Bus comes out as Bu. But we are psyched. Mumma sometimes is still Bubba. But it's such a joy, such a treat. Yay, yay, yay! It looks as if he won't need speech therapy after all--at least not yet. It's fine if he does need it, of course.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and Donna and Shawn are coming tonight...This year, I have MUCH to be thankful for like recovery (thank you God); my family; and most of all my beautiful kids, who are, well, simply The Best.
