Job Hunting, Rain, and Other Small Adventures

Ah, I have officially entered the world of job hunting.
It's hard...Here in Beantown, there is lots of competition for even adjunct jobs.
I am hoping to land something for this spring though I seem (fingers crossed) to have something part-time for the fall.
And then there are the full time applications that I have out too...
It's keeping me busy.

The kids are doing great. They make me proud every day. I feel really lucky to be their mom. Kellen loves to jump on my head and play games first thing in the morning. He gives me kisses and hugs and jumps all over me when I am in bed. It's adorable. Aidan is doing well...growing so much into a pre-teen that it amazes me...He is a very sensitive and sweet person, kind and caring. And they are incredibly nice to each other, too, giving hugs. The only conflict they have is when Kellen plays a verbal game where he says "Da da" at the top of his lungs. Aidan doesn't like it, and he says "shhhh." Kellen gets frustrated and swats at his brother. Usually the whole thing ends in laughter.

Otherwise, I am trying to secure my garden plot for spring. We were granted a plot for the fall, but we were also told that we might not be able to keep it in the spring. There is a lottery system apparently. So...I am hopeful that because I am volunteering at the garden--and because of our fall planting--that there won't be any trouble getting a plot for next summer. Garden clean-up day is this coming Sat.

Finally, over the weekend we went to Arnold Arboretum. It was so lovely, a gorgeous fall day amid trees of color. We visited the Bonsai house, with its bonsai dating back to the 1700s! To think what those trees would say if they could talk...Pretty amazing.
