Day of the Dead

We had a wonderful night last night out with friends...
First we went to a Day of the Dead celebration at the Peabody Museum complete with a large altar dedicated to all of the people who died at the border, trying to come to America.
There were sugar skulls to decorate (kind of macabre); masks to make; a person painting hand-carved wooden animals; sugary cake kind of bread; and a watery hot cocoa...
We met our friends there and then all went out to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. Tres kid friendly! And miraculously the kids loved it! Aidan really had a wonderful time. He loves babies though...and was in heaven with Kel and his friend Oscar, who is just a couple months younger than Kellen...

It is cold outside today, and I have a community garden meeting outside...
Brr!
Still, it seems as if it will be a good weekend. The kick off last night was perfect, just really fun and interesting and cultural.

May your Novembers be glorious and filled with the gifts of family.
