The Summer Migraine

Apparently, I have summer migraines.
I've known this forever, of course, because late July is my WORST headache season, even worse than the molds of March.
Today, though, I googled barometric pressure and headaches, and sure enough hot and humid weather is a trigger for many people.
Alas.
It is of course...hot and humid. I have had an entire package of headache meds (20 pills) in the past week! One headache that I had hung on for THREE days.
OK, so enough about that. I've decided that summer is not my Strong Time of Year.

I'm reading a lot now, going through the landlords' vast science fiction library (thank you to him). He has quite the offering--almost everything published practically by the Mostly All Male Sci Fi Author Club. It is interesting how few women write sci fi. Seeing his library made me realize that anew.

I like the city: lots of walking, lots of biking, lots of being. The kids are doing fine...Kel is in temper tantrum City, but we all manage to find the humor to laugh! Aidan is remarkable, kind, and thoughtful.

My brother is practicing the law of attraction...and it was cute to talk with him aobut it the other day. He is saying positive things to himself all the time to see what happens. It's sweet. Good to see him in an upswing.

Otherwise...lots of ice cream, the Rash From Hell, and jellyfish are the hallmarks of our summer 2007 (yes, that is right, my rash is back, which means--you guessed it!--more antibiotics). I am not talking about that right now (except to say that natural foods rock). The jellyfish are the weird thing: They are blooming and bursting in the harbor, thriving on the globally warmed waters. It's eerie and a reminder of the planet's being out of balance. But they are oddly beautiful, and it just goes to show that one NEVER knows what will truly happen: the Chaos theory and God are too complicated, mysterious, and free of human emotion like avarice or hatred. THANK GOODNESS for that, I say.
