Back in the Saddle Again

I can't stop singing that song as I post this blog, first one in April.
It snowed like a foot yesterday in NE, and we woke up to no power and crazy wet snow.
Our son was in heaven as he made a snowman and fort with his cousins, but we were not as stoked.
Though I have to admit that the beauty of the snow on the pines kind of converted me BACK into the amazingness of the whole event.
Snow in April...
It reminds me of snow in May, the one year that that happened when I was a child, and our crab apple trees broke with the weight and heartache of it.
And how full of wonder and curiosity I was at 6 years old.
Today, a branch almost fell on a friend of my sister in law, and it was intense...
But it was OK because this huge tree branch CRACKED and then stopped.
So it kind of just hung there, in mid air.

Kellen is walking all around, checking everything out...
He also said "window" yesterday, but I can't get him to say it again.

Window...

It has been a crazy few weeks...packing and moving energy...and now Easter energy, coming in all over--amid the snow and the crocuses, covered in white.
