Roller Skating Baby

Aid and I went roller skating yesterday afternoon at a birthday party.
It was Aid's first time on roller skates.
A few adults were also skating, but mostly kids were out on the dance floor, which was Very 80sish with its disco ball...
I insisted on putting on skates...
And Aidan was really happy to have me along since he did a lot of falling. My arm made a good "scooper upper." He would just grab on and hoist himself up. At one point I sat down, and he came over, tugging at my hand. "Come on," he insisted.
Another time I stopped to talk to one of Aidan's friends moms..."Come on," he said, giving me the "you are talking too long" glare.
It was so cute to have him still want me along on those trips.
Our friend explained that he was staying off the dance floor so as not to embarrass his son...
But by the end of the day, we three were out there, all the same age, late 30s and totally reliving being 12.
I requested Funky Town, and we zoomed around.
