A New Friend

I made a new friend at work...I mean a Real Girlfriend kind of friend.
It has been so great because it Transforms the workplace.
I mean I have friends there...colleagues who are friendly, but this is a Want To Tell Your Secrets To Kind of Girlfriend.
She is younger than me...like by a decade...but it doesn't matter.
My other Great friends in my town are all in their 60s...which makes me LOL because I don't think of myself as old, and they are both Timeless and Way Cool.
But it is nice to have someone sort of remotely my age who is artsy and cool and likes photography and writing.
She just sold her first novel to Penguin, and I am working on selling my novels, so it's kind of amazing that we have met.
And inspiring...
She came to my office at 3 to just say hi, and it felt so Girlfriendly.
And I bought us both chocolate earlier, and she confided in me this Kind of Crush that she has...
Ah....
I have not had Girlfriend energy at work since Annie left!
And that is like a couple years now.
I came home with a headache, which was no fun, but the family was particularly cute and harmonius tonight with Aid sketching in his book and Brian doing the same. Brian took a hiatus from family life to go sketch.
And I got to hang with Kel, who has been tired and crabby and trying so hard to walk that it is making him insane.
He is obsessive, this little baby, with walking and certain books.
His favorite is a book called "My Daddy," and we have to read it 10 X at a time.
It is amazing...!
And funny.
I am also undertaking the knitting of a shawl, my first ever Shawl, so that is a major project and one that I need some guidance on, so it is off to the knitting store in the next month to get some Guidance on increasing patterns, which kinda scare me.
