Dreams of sunshine...amid the rain and wind and finally...cold!

It was finally COLD here today, and I welcomed it.
Usually, it is mild and rainy lately in an El Nino, global warming kind of way.
But today was cold and windy...biting actually...
We made two more dump runs, cleaned out the cellar, and made progress toward House Sale.
It felt great!
And then we had some lovely family time with Brian's parents...and a wonderful dinner...
These days have been blessed with books and good cat energy and lots of good family time.
Kellen seems to enjoy having his family all around...
My knitting is going very well though the first pair isn't holding up all that well to actual WEAR...Alas but then the yarn seems a bit loose. That is a good lesson for future sock-making expeditions.
I think a scarf is in my future. And maybe even a sweater.
I also was inspired today by two things:
1) an impromptu peace rally downtown in the middle of this cold weather
2) a woman at the dump who was raising money to help a child who was in a terrible car accident. The child was of "limited financial means." We donated...and I thought how amazing the generosity of the spirit can be.
May your days be filled with the kind of energy found in knitting, reading, and wintering...
