Grading...The Crush of Papers

This week has been punctuated by one word: Grading.
In between every crevice of time, every little sliver, I've had to grade.
I had 32 portfolios and 21 new papers...
Which made a lot of grading to do since the portfolios had 4- 5 essays in them.
Grading with a baby around is tricky business. You just get into it, and the baby needs you to get out.
It is amazing that one can do anything with a baby about...
But grading is especially hard.
I went down to the local coffee shop the other night, skateboard in hand, and graded and graded.
As I sat there, a child of about 8 walked by and said, "who's board is that?"
I said, "mine."
The boy balked and stared and looked all crazed...Everyone around us laughed because the boy thought I was pulling his leg.
It is one cool board.
After grading, I got to skate toward home...skated for about two miles before Brian picked me up.
Night was coming on as I climbed into the car filled with my boys and headed for...well...more grading.
