Changed Plans = Cherished Family Time
Well...we didn't get to Go Away this weekend.
But that was OK.
We ended up getting to see our wonderful family, Brian's parents, which was Perfectly Lovely.
They also helped us to get the house ready because we had people come see it.
And today, the couple emailed us to say they were Really Interested.
So we may have sold the house...but then we aren't sure.

Most of me is glad to sell the house. But part of me is a little sad...All that about plans not working the way you wished and all that.
But then I think of the water company and Nova Scotia and fresh air...and the fact that in Canada my son won't be locked into his school the way he is here now.
Seriously: the schools are locked.
A person in town at the co-op joked that the schools are just like jails now.

Alas, we had a lovely weekend. Thank you to Rachel for cleaning the bathroom and the den: such serious cleaning! The house hasn't sparkled like this in a long time.
And thanks to both for spending time with the boys. Aidan loved having his grandfather read for him, and I got to listen in...Joel is a Good Reader. I enjoyed hearing the book while I cleaned and sorted...
And Kellen enjoyed seeing his grandparents, so it was a Good Visit All Around.

Now it is back to the Craziness of the end of the campaign plus my schoolwork. I am buried in it--quite literally up to my eyeballs, but it is All Good.
Aidan is so cute, hanging out here in the kitchen with me reading while I write.
He loves Calvin and Hobbes. Today I joked that we should rename Kellen Calvin because Aidan loves Calvin so much.
Calvin sounds like Kellen too...
But Brian got grumpy and Aidan and me, joking.

Well lunarlites, I hope you are having a wonderful week so far...Today was glorious October: the kind of brilliant blue sky and crisp air that makes New England home. The trees are all aflame here, maples in their bright hues...Such wonder, such loveliness.
I wonder what Kellen thinks of it, and if he notices.
I hope, for his sake, that he does.
Color, color everywhere.
Amid this season of light and love.
But that was OK.
