Book Proposal Update: Starbucks and Babysitting Exchange

My friend Elaine took Kellen on Thursday so I could address the book proposal.
She is writing a fiction book as well, so we have decided that on Thursdays from 11-1 we will trade off babysitting.
One mom will watch the babies while the other mom goes to Starbucks and writes furiously while drinking coffee or what have you.
Elaine went first last week...and she seemed to get a lot done.
It was my turn Thursday, and the day went something like this:

1) Quick go downtown to do a favor for a friend who wanted a picture of Kellen and me for a commercial he is making (he is running for state Senate)

2) Go to the office to pick up my purse, which I left in a colleague's office

3) Walk around with a crabby Kellen and then revert to DRIVING around with a cranky Kellen until he was asleep

4) Drive around

5) Try to go buy a leather jacket I had seen at the consignment store (which sadly had sold)

6) Head to DMV to get a new copy of my registration since mine is lost

7) Get told that I can't get registration b/c car is in hubby's name

8) Drive to Elaine's with Still Sleeping and Angelic Baby Kellen

9) Leave Kellen with Elaine and then head to Starbuck's where I got a demonstration from the counter person in how Spill Proof the special Halloween plastic travel mugs are (I asked if they truly didn't leak, so he flipped one upside down to show me just how Great They Are). It was funny.

10) Find a table near the window (there isn't much room in that place, so only one table was truly available)

11) Write, write, write, write, write, write, write, write

12) Ask the people sitting next to me if they could watch my laptop while I used the bathroom

13) Return to my seat and write, write, write, write, write, write

14) Run out of time and head back to Elaine's.

15) Pick up Kel and come home to enter the Time Warp of House Cleaning and House Being with a Baby in Tow

16) Manage to squeeze in another hour before dinner on the Book Proposal

17) Send the book proposal!

I DID it!

I sent the proposal via email...and now I just have to Wait.

Which I can do.

Wish me luck...
