The movie is classic, and their activism is hysterical while Actually Making a Difference because their stunts get press.
Check out their latest stunt, posing as a HUD official in New Orleans. The mayor and governor "thanked" the impostor for addressing the audience.

I think that is the craziest part of the Yes Men (see the movie!).
The Yes Men, posing as U.S. officials, said such racist crazy things in front of educated professors and other professionals, and no one blinked.
No one wanted to be rude.
I mean crazy!
A bunch of college students in upstate New York called them on their shit though.
It was refreshing but kind of wild.
Are people asleep? Do they really just ignore what is happening around them? What are they thinking about if they aren't listening to the speakers at conferences?
