Arrows and Roots

They are the first bites of High Fructose Corn Syrup and White Flour (the root of all Evils) and they are addicting.
That is the word around here, after K graduated today from graham crackers to the Gateway of Arrowroot Biscuits.
The ones we bought seemed to have some wheat flour and folic acid in them, so I suppose I should rest assured that K. is getting something good out of these.

The look on his face is priceless though as he examines the cookies and eats them.
He is in love, the first favorite food motif playing through his little life.
He likes his other pureed things like apples and blueberrries and rice and lentils.
But these take the cake--or er the cookie.

We all are addicted to them too, even A.
We ate an entire box today, the four of us.
Anyone who thinks eating baby food is for Those Who are Slightly Insane well, let me tell you, baby food is damn good if you get the right brand.
I personally adore the rice cereal from Earth's Baby. Pretty good stuff, like cream of wheat only organic.

For now though our nearly talking older infant is finding a way to use those four teeth of his.
He grinds up the cookies between them and swishes it all around in his mouth.
Luckily for him, though, these cookies: They melt in the mouth.
